Hello everyone, this is M2 member, Abidah!
Even though a few months have passed, but I want to share my first international conference experience with you all!
I wrote and submitted a paper for my very first international conference titled “IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Informatics and BioMedical Sciences (IEEE-ICIIBMS) 2021” that was held in November last year.
Since it was my very first time writing a full-length paper and presenting my work by myself, the preparation took a long time! I wrote and revised the paper for a few months and I also did several presentation practices.
The conference itself took place in Oita and despite the COVID-19 situation, I was still able to go to Oita and present offline!
The conference was held for three days, 25-27 November 2021. The first and second days of the conference started quite early in the morning and ended pretty late in the afternoon, so I remembered that I was feeling exhausted through those two days.
And for the offline paper and poster presentations, they were held on the last day, 27th November 2021.
I was the first presenter for the offline presentation on the 3rd day, so I remembered that I felt very nervous that day. Plus, it was held in a hybrid manner thus there were several technical problems at the beginning of the presentation.

Thankfully, the presentation went well and I got the chance to have a fruitful discussion during the QnA session.
Oita was very far and it was also the first time I traveled that far within Japan. Thankfully, Ohnishi Sensei was coming with me so I was able to enjoy it and I also had so much fun in Oita.

Through this chance, I would like to thank all of the teachers and lab members who supported and helped me during the writing process also the presentation preparation and practice.
I will try my best to participate in more conferences and write many papers! Please look forward to it!
